An Imposing Machine!

To take full advantage of the capabilities of the E 8000 and create custom made patterns an IBM compatible PC is required. The CREATION 8 pattern designing software allows the creation of any design and size of pattern up to a full knitting width of 35.5" on the 8809 model or 47" on the 8812 model.

One PC can be used to program several knitting machines since it is possible to detach the central control and processing unit from the machine body.

 

 

For those who choose to work without a PC there is a wide selection of over 400 pre-defined patterns in the permanent memory of the control and processing unit. All patterns are shown in colour in a richly illustrated pattern book. Production data for each pattern is provided in the accompanying data book.

 

Additional pattern libraries are available on 3.5" diskettes. Patterns in PCX format from other applications can be imported into CREATION 8

  

For applications where a PC is not available pattern libraries are also available as plug-in modules that fit easily into the control and processing unit.

The E 8000 is an 8 gauge machine available in two knitting widths - 35.5" for the Model 8809 and 47" for the Model 8812. The modular structure steel needle beds are built for durability and high performance.

 

The possibility of selecting all needles on the front and rear beds simultaneously opens up a wide scope of patterning effects such as double sided patterns. Models with front bed needle selection only are available to order in both knitting widths. 


The machine is programmed on the
 E 8000's ergonomically designed control and processing unit. The programming is by means of an easy-to-follow dialogue, in the language of your choice, on a large display. The control and processing unit executes and monitors all knitting functions on both beds.


The E 8000 has been designed to accept computer-generated knitting patterns from an
external PC. There are also over 400 predefined patterns stored in its own control and processing unit memory. This feature provides a variety of patterns even if a personal computer is not available.
